A TRIBUTE FROM A FAMILY FRIEND. By thy fruits yea shall know them said the lord. First of all, I am privileged to be invited to this great occasion that marks a 10 year memorial of our father, uncle, grandfather and a great friend to many globally. Just a brief introduction: I am Ade Adeniyi’s friend and therefore a family friend to this great family. Good friends- unconditional- Until the last 2 weeks neither Ade nor I have discussed about our parents despite knowing each other for nearly 13 years- what a level of maturity between this guys. Just good friends. We met on a rainy day in Hasting, East Sussex, United Kingdom on my venture to create a better life. Very unusual of me I stopped to say Hi to a gentleman on the street. Since then we have remained good friends despite all odds around worldly things .We would still pause to say hey, are you there after months or even years of not hearing from each other. Between us there is usually a feeling- please call up your friend- and we did. My family and I have benefited from your love and kindness through your son Ade. I had my first reference to apply for a job in the UK from Ade. I am sure majority would understand the meaning of this. Aside material things we have enjoyed friendly discussions well needed in today’s world. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity knowing you in this physical world but I can imagine your personality and value to your community before you departed to eternity. By thy fruits yea shall know them. You did not just leave but left behind your good fruits and legacy. May you continue to rest in Eternity. Allelujah. RIP Sir. Anietie T. Obot
